Hi Tom,
I’ve got a
KFLOP + Kanalog combination and in the KMotion user interface, the Kanalog tab
is missing. I also cannot open the screen with analog voltages. I suspect there
might be a hardware issue, but before I start ordering new hardware I need to
know what things I can do to make sure that SW is not the issue.
I’ve
upgraded the firmware, “DSP_Kmotion.out”, when I execute the version command, I
read back that the version is 4.33, so the upgrade went successful.
For me, it
is unclear if I also need to flash the “DSPKFLOP.out” file, what is the
difference between these *.out files?
Does the
Kanalog board also contain firmware that needs an update?
If the
hardware is the issue, I have the opportunity to swap a board (I have access to
multiple Kmotion machines), to test and pinpoint if the hardware error lies in
the Kflop or the kanalog board. My reasoning is that if I swap the Klop with
one from a working setup and everything is ok, the Kanalog should be ok and the
Kflop in the malfunctioning machine needs to be replaced. However, if I swap it
and it still does not work, I do not know if it’s just the Kanalog or the Kflop
and Kanalog of the malfunctioning machine that need to be replaced. I’d rather
not start swapping Kanalog boards, since a lot of I/O is wired, which makes
swapping troublesome.
Regards,
Mike
